Work, Eat, Sleep...

Yes, my life contains of nothing more than work, eat and sleep.. At least that it was it feels like. So hang in there. I'm trying to fit in some creativity in between, but I am not doing so well at it.. I have also been kind of sick, so when I haven't been working I've been lying under a blanket in my couch. My hubby has been traveling a lot with work lately as well so it's been quite lonely.

I thought I'd share some pictures from last weekend when we went to a town close by called Roswell and had a lazy Sunday lunch. The weather here in GA is amazing at the moment. Beautiful fall days with around 20-25 degrees and sunny skies.

I hope YOU are doing well!!

Midnight Milk

Both me and my husband is fighting this awful cold at the moment and we have about crashed in our couch every night after work. A friend (an awesome woman who knows everything there is to know about herbs and other alternative ways to get healthy) of ours has a website where she shares her remedies and knowledge with the rest of the world. I found a recipe she recommended to use when feeling stressed, having a hard time falling asleep or just want to be healthy I guess. She calls it Midnight Milk and we tried it last night, even though we have NO problem falling asleep, but who doesn't need some comforting warm milk concoction? So here is her recipe, enjoy!

Midnight Milk
1 tsp. ashwagandha  powder ( I only had the herb extract and put the recommended dosage in it instead)
8 ounces (1 cup or 125ml) of milk (any is fine: almond, rice, cow, goat, soy, oat…)
Honey, to taste
Organic Vanilla extract
optional: cinnamon powder

Just heat (on a stove please!) it all up until frothy , but don't boil,  and enjoy!

Herbs you say? Where to get em? She recommended a site called Mountainroseherbs.com where you an find just about any herb in the world. If you are in Sweden and want to try this, I would suggest googling it and try and find it that way.

Try it why don't ya?

Still Harvesting

On Sunday we went to the garden to check on it. To be honest, I've been neglecting the garden lately. It's not that I don;t want to go and check on it, I just don't have the time! I work so much, that by the time I get home I'm so tired or so stressed over getting to bed at a descent time that I don't get over there as much as I would like. But on Sunday we went over there and things are still growing very well. Our tomatoes and peppers are still going strong.

This week or weekend I'm thinking of starting my fall/winter veggies. Excited!

Fall In Georgia

Yes, fall has arrived in Georgia. Yesterday and today we were actually freezing! It's amazing, and so so wonderful. I'm sure the weather will turn around and get warm again but right now, you have to have a sweater and some tights or jeans. So fun! We spent the weekend being true Georgians, we went to my very first American Football game. It was so much fun! We started early in the morning; we arrived in Athens, GA at around 9:30 and started tailgating which includes food, beer and a lot of football talk in the parking lot by the arena. Then the game started at noon and "we" won! It was such a fun experience and I can actually see myself doing it again. :)

Here are a BUNCH of pictures of our Saturday football adventure:

Have a wonderful week everybody!

Busy Week

Since I'm doing pretty much nothing but work these days, I just thought I'd share some pictures from the past week. Enjoy!

I spent Thursday-Saturday with two sweet little girls, this is one of them watching big sister kill it on the soccer field.

On Sunday, with gorgeous weather, we went to Piedmont Park for an Art Festival.

This is another sweet little girl I'm spending a lot of time with and this is her latest move. So stinkin' sweet!

Me and the 2 year old made some Chocolate Balls. I stole a few on her mid-day nap. Which means I left their house with a stomach ache. Ouch.

Yum, yum!

I hope to be back with some more interesting things to share soon.

Christmas already?

Although I work everyday of the week I feel like I have to keep busy when I'm at home, otherwise I'll be spending every afternoon on the couch watching lame stuff on the TV. Something that will help me from being lazy is remembering the $90 I'm about to spend on a booth at this years Swedish Christmas Fair in downtown Atlanta. Yes peeps, that is why I've been making a ton of Swedish Dala Horses lately. I'm a bit nervous about it, what if NOBODY buys my stuff!? Oh well, I've convinced myself that if that happens, I'll be okay with it. I'm not just making Dala Horses, I'll be trying to make some things in the near future and show em' off here on the blog so you, my friends, can tell me if they are sellable or not. Yesterday I went to the local fabric store and bought some Christmas fabric, so I better get going!

some of the stuff I've done and some stuff that still needs some fixin' with..

time to get to work with all this fabric!

My own version of the Dala Horse.

Okay, now this was my first time making an apron and the embroidery that says "God Jul". I definitely have to call up my mom or farmor and see how to do the embroidery the correct way. Obviously. This one will be worn by me behind the booth. Let's hope the other ones turn out better! :)

Hope everyone is doing great!!
