Midnight Milk

Both me and my husband is fighting this awful cold at the moment and we have about crashed in our couch every night after work. A friend (an awesome woman who knows everything there is to know about herbs and other alternative ways to get healthy) of ours has a website where she shares her remedies and knowledge with the rest of the world. I found a recipe she recommended to use when feeling stressed, having a hard time falling asleep or just want to be healthy I guess. She calls it Midnight Milk and we tried it last night, even though we have NO problem falling asleep, but who doesn't need some comforting warm milk concoction? So here is her recipe, enjoy!

Midnight Milk
1 tsp. ashwagandha  powder ( I only had the herb extract and put the recommended dosage in it instead)
8 ounces (1 cup or 125ml) of milk (any is fine: almond, rice, cow, goat, soy, oat…)
Honey, to taste
Organic Vanilla extract
optional: cinnamon powder

Just heat (on a stove please!) it all up until frothy , but don't boil,  and enjoy!

Herbs you say? Where to get em? She recommended a site called Mountainroseherbs.com where you an find just about any herb in the world. If you are in Sweden and want to try this, I would suggest googling it and try and find it that way.

Try it why don't ya?

  2. It does not taste like candy that's for sure. But mixed with the milk, it was like it wasn't even there. It was actually very delicious!
